Hi, Iâm Ashley â founder of Loving Colour, colour enthusiast, mum of three, and someone who believes getting dressed should feel easy, confident, and like you.
My love for style goes back decades, but the journey to understanding it? That started with a caramel jumper.
I bought it as a teenager and loved it so much I kept it for years. But when I tried it on again more recently, something felt⌠off. I looked yellow. I walked from mirror to mirror trying to figure out if the lighting was the problemâbut the colour just wasnât working.
Not long after, I tried on a caramel dress at my favourite store. My best friend gave me a polite thumbs down. The shop assistant suggested trying a teal-blue shade instead. I wasnât convincedâit felt too dark for meâbut I gave it a go.
I pulled back the curtain and we were all stunned. It was the same dress, but the colour made it look (and feel) completely different. I literally took a photo and sent it to my husband from the change room!
That moment got me thinkingâŚ
Why canât I wear caramel? And why does something like teal make me light up?
That night, I fell down the rabbit hole of colour analysisâand it was like finding the missing piece of the puzzle. Not just why some colours worked and others didnât, but why we waste so much energy second-guessing ourselves in the first place.
đ¨ From curiosity to colour confidence...
I couldnât stop there. With my background as a makeup artist, two-time ecommerce business owner, and lifelong fashion lover, I poured myself into learning everything I could about colour theory, seasonal palettes, and how women really use colour in their wardrobes.
I spent months building my own 12-season colour system and creating a virtual colour analysis programme thatâs easy, thoughtful, and entirely focused on you.
Since then, Iâve helped so many women feel that same "aha" momentâwhen things finally click into place and dressing becomes fun again.
đ Why I do thisâŚ
Because colour analysis isnât about rules.
Itâs about recognising your natural beauty, simplifying your wardrobe, and feeling more like yourself every time you get dressed.
Itâs also about communityâwhich is why I created The Colour Collective. Itâs the space where you take what youâve learned and bring it to life with weekly support, style inspiration, and real connection with women just like you.
đ Letâs find your glow
Whether youâve never heard of seasonal colour analysis or youâve been guessing your season for years, Iâd love to help you discover what really suits youâso you can stop second-guessing and start loving what you wear again.
